Director – Richard Ham

Richard Ham has been working in the IT industry since 1990. Since starting as a Personal Computer builder, he has worked as IT Manager for a number of educational facilities, businesses and non-profits. During the late 1990’s and early 2000’s he pioneered a large Internet Service Provider in South East Queensland. During these years, he also completed a Masters of Information Technology. Following on from the sale of the ISP to a large national provider, Richard specialised in design and engineering networks for the Internet era. Towards the end of 2008, as the Cloud era was starting, Richard could see the benefit of cloud computing and started the Cloud Hosting company QXTN Pty Ltd. This company continues to operate as a specialist Medical and Legal cloud hosting systems with a focus on security, privacy and resiliency.

Over the last 20 years, Richard has been invited to mentor a significant number of IT Managers in the corporate and education space. His focus on approachable and communicative management styles in conjunction with a sound research and engineering base has resonated with many organisational executives. As another side of this, Richard has lectured at a regional university since 2019, assisting many students with both real-world and computer communications skills and forensics and security subject matter.

Richard Ham is a Australian Computer Society Certified Professional.
